Kashmir Premier League is set to commence on the 13th of August 2022 at Muzaffarabad cricket stadium in Azad Kashmir.
Defending champion announced Rawlakot Hawks captain Ahmed Shahzad for KPL 2022. He was also part of Rawlakot in the previous season and played a vital role in the title win of KPL.
Last year Rawlakot hawks captained star all-rounder Shahid Afridi was the captain and icon player for Rawlakot Hawks and made his team champions of season 1.

In the second season of KPL 2022, Shahid Afridi is part of Jammu Janbaz and the team’s mentor.
Ahmed Shahzad is the first player of Pakistan who has made a century in all formats and played all formats for Pakistan.
